Steve’s Video work

.

This video was filmed in spring 2013 using a GoPro  in a waterproof housing. As well as proving that the setup was waterproof (no, I’m not that daft -I had tested it in the bathroom sink) the film is just long enough to give a relaxing pause but I hope without too much confusing detail. Looking at it in 2019 and comparing it with what GoPros can produce now in terms of anti-shake and the size of the recording sensors makes me realise how much tech has improved over the past six years.

Short film taken around the beach at the Isle of Mull Hotel on Craignure bay, Isle of Mull in May 2012. It starts by looking out to sea as a ferry arrives from the mainland then at the shore, rockpools and finally the irises and rhododendrons in full bloom above the shoreline. The still photo at the end justifies the music I chose.

The “Tomorrow” interviews following the screening at Bookends 2017. Main interviews by Campbell Cameron of Oban FM. Also featured Mairi Stones. Filmed simply using a Sony Xperia phone. I got to say

.

Filmed simply with a phone – all in one long shot. Biggest editing problem is the varying sound levels as folk are different distances from the camera (so you may need to increase volume a little).
